The past few months have been so... I'm not even sure there's an exact word to describe it but it's just been; life. And it's been happening pretty fast that I never really got a chance to kind of sit back and reflect on some things.
Did I really just get out of an amazing 2-year relationship? But wait that was in February. And it's freakin' almost the end of May. Where did all that time go? I guess I was so caught up in switching careers and finding my own place to live that I never really thought twice about it. This person meant the world to me but I think the reality was - as we both grew, we grew apart. She was my first true love and I will never, ever forget all the memories we shared and experienced with each other. I wish her the very best and I hope she continues to find happiness in her love for traveling the world. Thank you for everything, Love.
It's been almost a month now since I've started my new career with Shutterfly and Borrowlenses.com and I just have to thank John (www.johnfortiz.com) for referring me. The company has welcomed me into their family and I've never felt such at home. Having the opportunity to help others about camera equipment and just being around fellow artists alike is an amazing feeling. Oh, and not to mention all the free snacks and unlimited amounts of coffee that I've been drinking. The free rentals are okay too I guess!
We're about halfway into 2016 and if you told me that I'd be where I am today at the beginning of the year, I wouldn't believe you. When I first found Borrowlenses.com in 2012 and picked-up a rental I told myself, "I can see myself working here." When I got into my relationship in 2014 I told myself, "This is it. This is the person I am ready to spend the rest of my life with."
But I think all this change has been good for me. I wake up every morning looking forward to actually go to work. The days have been going by faster. I feel great emotionally, mentally, and physically. I'm laughing at some of the dumbest things ever and it's amazing. I've learned that I never really lost my interest in photography, it's always been there.
And one thing is for sure, I'm right where I'm supposed to be.
